Ole` Rudy`s Bar-b-Que in Griffin

The food was good especially the chicken wings. We are light eaters so the double meat plate with the ribs and chicken wings with 2 side filled me and the GF up. With the sweet tea our order totalled about 22 bucks. We left satisfied with our meal. The people at the front are short and to the point. I wouldn't call it rude at all. If I could give a 4 1/2 star I would. A friendly smile would've made it 5 stars.

Place is always good , definitely worth stopping. As far as overnight parking it gets a little crazy.

Consistently good food. Some places are great one day then mediocre the next but I can always count on a certain level of quality here and the wait times are normally well within reason. You can never go wrong with the smoked wings by the way. Larger plates get a little pricey but not outrageous.

Ribs were good with fry rub. Smoked chicken was not dry and moist. Skin was bonus. BBQ sauce was sweet and tangy and not to hot. The coleslaw was good too as it is a fine cut and not like most. It was a refreshing change. Nice big lot for semis and outdoor seating.

Oh my god!!! The brisket is solo good. Bq sauce too.

All I got to say is that I thought that I've had the best ribs before. Boy was I cheated. Let me tell ya....these are the best ribs I have ever stuck in my mouth. His food is a little pricey, but as they always say...you get what you pay for!

Looks like a hurricane went through but the food is straight from Heaven. Had the pork plate. Absolutely fabulous!

I paid 20 dollars for 2 brisket sandwiches and a hot dog. Overpriced! And the BBQ wasn't great. The brisket had way tooo much fat and the sandwich was so tiny compared to TEXAS size brisket sandwiches. Side note: brisket tasted like it was cooked on the oven.

Food wasn't bad (bout the same as any other BBQ place) but small portions and way overpriced. $17 for 2 very small pork sandwiches and 2 small sides. I'd say $8 woulda been a fair price for what I got

The good: Food tastes good. Had the brisket sandwich, ribs, potatoe salad, and Brunswick stew. Portions of the sandwich was a bit small but taste of the meat was good. Brunswick stew taste was very good. Portions of the sides was good. Only ordered 2 ribs but the meat on the ribs was a good amount. Very good taste for the ribs. BBQ sauce is of the sweet variety with a hint of warmth/heat. The sauce is good if the flavor profile is the type you like.The not good: price was a dollar or two more than expected. Portions of the meat a bit smaller than expected. Stew was a bit thin on meat, but again the taste was very good.Verdict: I will happily come back again. I could make a meal of the Brunswick stew alone. The place makes you feel it will be a bit cheaper than it really is, but the taste makes it worth it.

Delicious as always! Jumbo pulled pork, Brunswick stew and a Velvet Cake hits the spot! Wash it down with a Sweet Tea!

Food was fantastic! Service was fast. Lost a star because they could be more friendly. No smile, thank you, have a nice day... nothing. I’ll repeat though, the food was good! BBQ has a unique Smokey flavor. Very impressed!

I'm sorry I'm having to give 1 Star but it didn't even deserve that.. Our 1st experience was NOT good at all.. All we heard was bragging on this place so we were ready to try it out we got loaded an went straight there.. People in front of us were having to go back an fix there order cauae stuff was missing an not rite!! Well we was still ready to try this great food we heard about..we order ours an check it an my husband was like ma'am we have food missing she look an said no sir that's what u order he said I order large rib plate and a half rib plate..and she said yes sir and thats what u got..needless to he got 5 small ribs 2 small cups of sides an i mean small for $15 I got 2 small ribs an 2 small cups of sides for$13 ..the ribs were so dry we couldn't eat them!!WILL NEVER GO BACK AN WILL NOT RECOMMEND!!!!😡😡

GREAT FOOD, FRIENDLY SERVICE, AND TRUCK PARKING FOR CUSTOMERS!! Ole Rudy's been serving drivers for nearly 25 years from taking orders on the CB and delivering them to the drivers in the truck stop. To having the whole corner for customers to park and enjoy his good food. I highly recommend Ole Rudy's BBQ I guarantee you'll come back again!!!

Food was good,prices are extremely high for the amount of food you get.Seating is limited and outside in heat.

Brisket and pork dinner plate is huge. Great flavor. Coleslaw is different it's good just shredded very fine. Awesome dinner well worth the price.

This place is way overpriced and charges truckers to park there. $11 for half a pound of pulled pork? $22.50 for 1 pound of ribs? Ridiculous.I spent about $14 for half a pound of pork and a sweet tea...

The absolutely best bbq I've had since Flint's in Oakland, Ca. This will become one if out favorite stops when we come to town. Love it!!

Food was hot, came out fast, and sooooo good. Definitely a hidden gem. And for truckers, they have a lot for overnight parking as long as you spend $15. What a perk.

Great service good food clean parking area will surely be back. The barbecue was great but I had the smoked brisket it was excellent would definitely recommend it to others wanting to try this place out

Great food, you get your money worth, organized truck parking, and great service, and have met the owner numerous of times, what a great guy!

I got the brisket plate and the the brisket meat was okay however I kind of like it where it's just slice thick and I can just shred it myself with a fork. They have the brisket sliced very thin paper thin and it was tasty. The brisket was a little quote not moist quote but besides that it was it was it was a a decent lunch. The side of big beans I got was the size of a little Dixie cup you know that like a little bit bigger than a couple ounces from a shot glass. It was expensive for the sides of believable but I would return here

The Food is pretty good. Although, Truck parking is NOT free. They require you to spend min $15 on food. Then charge you $15 for parking. Then you have to deal with the crazy lot attendant waking you up not paying attention to the sticky note w/ your hand written parking number on it. On top of that, they could be a little bit more friendlier. So honestly the only good part of visiting or staying is the great food. Although with the hot sauce they give you for your wings, be prepared to visit the toilet multiple times.

Meh, mediocre at best. I agree the old white lady is grouchy. Convenient off the interstate. Potato salad was good. Pulled pork is crumbles. Baked beans blah

Whenever I'm running north or south on I-75, I try to stop at Ole Rudy's.I really enjoy their pulled pork barbecue and sides.And above all the owner and his staff provide very friendly and hospitable service.

Ordered the small smoked BBQ rib plate with slaw, baked beans, and a large SWEET TEA.Slaw and beans were good. ALL diabetics should stay away from the sweet tea...............It's juuuuust right.The ribs..... Fall off the bone. That smoke flavor doesn't NEED BBQ.I will be back!

There's no reason not to love this place. Everything is amazing. The meats are perfectly smoked and you get what you pay for. BBQ sauce is amazing and you can actually buy the sauce to take with you. There sweet tea.....don't even get me started here.....I'm very picky about my sweet tea and theirs is by far, hands down, the best I've ever had. I drive over the road and whether I'm going or come I stop in every time.

The food was very good and quick. I particularly enjoyed the pulled pork and half chicken entrees. The whole place is clean and well maintained. They have a covered outdoor dining section with 4 large picnic tables (and ceiling fans over them) plus they have another uncovered area, a smaller covered area with two 4 person tables, an Indoor section and a restroom on site. The food order is at a walk up outdoor window.There is also truck parking for approximately 20+ tractor trailers and even enough room for most wide loads/heavy hauls to stop. The parking is free with a meal purchase or something like $12 without. Heavy haul/oversize was $20. It's adjacent to the flying J and can be easily walked in 2min for drivers looking to shower/shop there. On the other side there is a 24hr waffle house for drivers looking to get breakfast in the morning. All in all, a great little place that's trucker friendly and right off the highway. Ole Rudy has himself a great location and business there.

You're paying for sides ,if you like that . The place is very clean and well kept by the owner. Never really see it been cooked at the spot ,but the meat is tender. 5 something for one link rapped up like it needs to stay warm . Paid 27 for 4 ribs , 1 link ,and 8 ounce of what the south calls stew. Nice truck stop place but First and last .

Excellent service and the food was fantastic I highly recommend it and it has parking for the over the road truck drivers who want to stop by and try some good ole southern barbecue and you definitely have to take home some of the special barbecue sauce anytime I’m in the area I stop on by

Overrated and overpriced. Food is OK not great, Portion is like any other BBQ place. Prices are to high. I’ve been in multiple BBQ places in the 48 states and this one is just OK. The only thing that is truly exceptional is LEMONADE!

Some of the best ribs!! Plenty of space for truck drivers parking and if you buy more than a certain amount you are allowed to parked. Just show your receipt after 6pm. Same area as Love's Travel Stop.
